Description:  

In the first 20 minutes, registrants will: 1) get a brief presentation of how generative AI works; 2) gain an understanding of the foundations of responsible AI content policy; and 3) get tips on how to talk to writers and clients about the use of AI on both the writing and editorial side. The remainder of the webcast will be an "Ask Me Anything" style Q&A on the ethics of using AI and its impact on the editorial industry in general.

Learning Objectives:

  1. How to disclose AI-generated and AI-edited text;
  2. Learn what an AI content policy is and why everyone needs one; and
  3. Get tips on how to talk to clients about the use of AI on both the writing and editorial sides.

About the presenter:

Amy Frushour Kelly is the founder of Frushour AI Consulting & Editorial, helping editors and organizations develop ethical AI content policies. She hosts Ethics in AI, a monthly virtual meetup for editors, as well as the AI Ethics Roundtable. She has spoken about ethics and AI policy at ACES VCON23, EMERGE, and the Association of Accounting Marketers AI Circle. Amy has been an editor for over 30 years, working mainly in journalism and content marketing.
