As a freelance editor, your interactions with your clients can impact the quality of your editing business. And you could be spending too much time writing emails, organizing clients' information, and following up with clients' specific needs and questions. To ensure high-quality client management that doesn't take up too much precious time, learn how to establish a good working relationship with every client and streamline your communication and management. Topics include: Template emails, email management, client intake data, and systems and processes for client management. You will receive several handouts: sample template emails, pros and cons of various CRM software, and instructions on how to use conditional formatting in Excel to help you manage client-based tasks.

About the presenter:

 Katie Chambers, owner of Beacon Point LLC, is a nonfiction and fiction developmental editor and copy editor for independent authors, content writer and editor for business professionals, and online teacher. After discovering a love for the administrative side of running her own business, she spent significant time creating systems and processes to help her streamline her business, which she shares with other editors. Having taught middle school and high school for eight years, she is passionate about teaching and helping others learn and improve their life.
