The most important part of a technical report are the results; these are what the reader needs to make a decision. It is vital that the results paragraph be easily understood and without bias. Using a modified PEEL method, we will examine how to use structure to edit the results paragraph for clarity, keeping it objective, accurate, and brief.

About the presenter:
Tara Moeller is a veteran of the United States Navy, serving six years as an electronics technician. After completion of a Bachelor's Degree in English from Old Dominion University, she began a career as an editor of technical documents for the Department of Defense, first in a contract position, but quickly proving her value and transitioning to government civilian. Tara spent seven years at Naval Facilities Engineering Command editing construction criteria and master specifications, then moved to Operational Test and Evaluation Force (then Commander Operational Test and Evaluation Force). She spent seven years at OPTEVFOR editing Navy platform test plans and test reports, before taking a promotional position at Marine Corps Operational Test and Evaluation Activity, where for the past nine years she has been editing Marine Corps platform test plans and test reports. Tara is also an award-winning author of young adult fiction using the pen name Zahra Jons.
