Editors without a background in graphic design might feel overwhelmed while reviewing cramped PowerPoint slides that lack visual appeal. This webcast will prepare editors to review their clients’ PowerPoint presentations and advise them on the most effective and functional way to deliver the intended information. Learn some tips and tricks!  

Three Learning objectives:

  • Identify and describe four organizational patterns to arrange text in a PowerPoint presentation.
  • Identify the principles and elements of design.
  • Apply basic diagramming techniques in PowerPoint presentations.

Participants will leave with a list of art supplies, online and print informational resources that they can use to further develop their text and graphic editing skills.

About the speaker:

Milly Vega is a Puerto Rico-based corporate communications specialist with 15 years of editing and writing experience at a health insurance company. She is a former journalist and media officer. She holds a BBA in International Public Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico and an MA in Media Writing from Sacred Heart University. She also completed the Specialized Program in Professional Writing at UC Berkeley Extension and the Corporate Communications Certificate at Cornell University. She joined ACES: The Society for Editing in 2022 and is a member of their Communications and Publications Committee.
