Package Description

Date: September 25, 2025

Time: 4-5 p.m. ET

Speaker: Paige Frame

Description:

One client’s “edit” may be a full rewrite while another’s may be a hands-off proofread. In this session, we’ll discuss how to scope an editing project to deliver a compelling quote to your client, ensuring you’re paid for all your time and clients get what they need.

Scoping starts with determining the client’s need and proposing the correct level of editing. From there, you can use pre-defined productivity guidelines and rates to provide an accurate total price. Finally, bringing these things together allows you to deliver a quote that gives the client a clear picture of what you’re providing, the investment, and when you’ll have it done.

Join this webcast to get started on tracking your personal productivity and practice writing a compelling quote that secures you more work.

Three learning objectives:

  1. How to track tasks to determine personal productivity guidelines
  2. Scope projects based on the level of edit, time needed, and hourly rate
  3. Deliver a compelling quote to capture more editing work

Cost: Free for ACES members/$30 for nonmembers
