Date: Thursday, December 11, 2025
Time: 4-5 p.m. ET
Speaker: Morgan Strunsky

Description:
Regardless of the particular field, nearly every type of editing encounters data visualization (aka “viz”): bar charts, line graphs, heat maps, and more. While such graphics can be powerful tools to convey information succinctly and meaningfully, editing this material can be a daunting task for those less numerically gifted. But even for the data viz layperson, charts don't have to be intimidating.

As we head into 2026 and everyone scrambles to pull together their various findings from the previous year, this session intends to share lessons and tips for how to approach the interpretation and editing of data visualization more confidently and methodically. Attendees of all skill levels and backgrounds will take away practical advice to help them solidify their data viz foundation and start off the new year editing like a pictorial professional.

Learning Objectives:
1. Learn best practices for how to approach editing common types of data visualization.
2. Develop a better understanding of what constitutes “good” data viz.
3. Discover how to pick the best type of chart to convey your information.
