This presentation lays out a simple plan for taking you from initial idea (don’t worry, we’ll talk about how to form that) to the final assets and your actual speaking gig. Don't hoard your editing knowledge. Share what you know when you learn how to become a creative and confident speaker.

1. Determine what knowledge to share and learn a system for turning it into a presentation. 
2. Gain insights into creating assets such as slides and notes and then timing and practicing the presentation.
3. Receive tips on finding and applying for speaking gigs, as well as what to expect and how to prepare once selected.

About the speaker:

Jeanette Smith is Jeanette the Writer, a copy editor, content writer, and mermaid Instagrammer based in Fort Worth, Texas. In her work, she aims to demystify the editing process through self-editing instruction and help authors produce the best manuscript possible. She also teaches writing, editing, and marketing through virtual and in-person conferences to both authors and fellow editors.
